Are we already talking about fine lines, smile lines, wrinkle lines and more lines?! Yes we are, unfortunately, but prevention is key. Signs of aging are caused by many factors including sun damage, genetic, stress, and even our own personal lifestyle such as excessive drinking or smoking. There are lots to talk about when it comes to anti-aging but for this post I want to focus on the eye and lip areas…yes lip area too!
A lot of times we apply a cream to our under eye area whether it be to treat dark circles, prevent fine lines or to simply add moisture to dry areas, but more often we tend to skip the lip area. Perhaps these products are called ‘eye cream’ and not many are labeled as ‘eye and lip cream’. For most of us, we do not realize or forget that we also show signs of aging around the lip contour area, AKA the smile lines. Look in the mirror and smile. You’ll notice those curved lines around the contour of your lips. Maybe you’re in denial like me and thought they’re permanent smile lines from smiling too much. Partly true but at the same time that area will sag overtime causing the lines to be more prominent. Sorry to say but our happy smiles will eventually sag so keep smiling to lift them up! 🙂
The skin needs a healthy dose of elastin, collagen, hydration, and oxygen in order to maintain its youth. Our body needs essential care like drinking plenty of water, eating a balanced nutritional diet, thoroughly cleansing and moisturizing our skin, and protecting our skin from harmful UV rays. If we neglect these essential demands, our skin will lose its youth and will start to show premature signs of aging. We need to make a healthy effort to take excellent care of our skin and that starts with having heathy habits. Incorporating an eye and lip cream into our daily skin care routine to prevent premature aging is an added bonus!
There are many benefits of using an eye & lip cream on a daily basis and I just happened to fall in love with Sisley Sisleÿa L’Integral Anti-Age Eye and Lip Contour Cream. I was in desperate need of an eye cream because my under eye area was showing deep fine lines, dark circles, and they were also dry. Disguising my dark circles and fine lines with concealer was so difficult and the dry patches also made it unflattering. The lines around the contour of my lips were starting to look more pronounced and very noticeable especially when I’m not smiling (haha the RBF comes to mind but my face is resting and still looks happy, I promise ☺️). Using a cream like Sisley eye and lip contour cream will help slow the aging process. Prevention is key and maintaining is an absolute must to protect your skin integrity.
I started to incorporate Sisley eye and lip contour cream into my daily skin care routine for both morning and night, and within one application I noticed my eye and lip areas were very hydrated. After two weeks, my dry patches disappeared, my dark circles lightened up a bit, and the fine lines and contour of my lip area looked more plumped. My dark circles are quite dark and I have been dealing with them for years so I wasn’t expecting a miracle for them to disappear completely. After six months, the fine lines under my eyes and around my lip have greatly reduced and appear very subtle like soft lines. My dark circles still exist but have gotten lighter and my eyes do look brighter. When I apply concealer, it does not settle into the soft lines and my dark circles cover up quite nicely. After a year of using this product, my fine lines have smoothed out a lot and you can only see them super up close, my dark circles have greatly faded to a lighter brown color, no more dry patches, and my eyes still look bright. Fast forward two years later, I am still a big fan of this product and continue to incorporate it into my skin care routine.
On a side note: This product also came with a massager tool and I hardly used it when applying the cream. This is my bad habit of laziness and trying to keep my skin care routine simple. However, when I did use the tool (after applying the cream) it gave a cooling sensation to the skin. It felt very relaxing and I always wish I was having a facial. This cream has many beneficial ingredients to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark circles:

This cream has no scent. The texture is thick and glides onto the skin very smoothly. I always grab a small amount and rub it between my fingers to warm it up before applying onto the skin. Instant hydration is noticeable and my skin looks very youthful. This cream provides hydration all day. I’ll put this cream on in the morning and by the end of the night, I can still feel the cream on my face! I can only speak to fine lines and dark circles since I do not have wrinkles yet…prevention is key. However, longer use of this product will lead to longer lasting results. This is a great investment for your eyes and lips.
This is a luxury brand and the price point is quite high but the product does work as it claims. The manufacturer suggest using all of the product within six months after opening it. The expiration date seems rather short but if you’re using it twice a day, six months is sufficient. Many department stores carry this brand like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Bloomingdale’s.
